In some cultures, the way food is served is almost as important as how it is prepared. For example, Japanese and French cooks carefully arrange food to make each dish10ok beautiful. In Sweden, smorgasbord is a popular way to serve guests. Smorgasbord consists of a10ng table set with a selection of breads, cheeses, fish, salads and hot and cold meats.
Customs also can affect the times when people eat. In most Western cultures, for example, people commonly eat three meals a day. These meals are breakfast, lunch and dinner. The British add a light, extra meal called tea late in the afternoon. At this meal, they serve strong tea and such foods as biscuits, cakes or sandwiches.
In most Western cultures, people eat from individual plates and use knives, forks and spoons. In China and Japan, people use chopsticks. In many societies, people eat from a common serving dish and use few utensils. Some people pick up their food with bread or with their fingers.
1) Ukraine is famous for different kinds of food such as borsch, varenyky and some others.
2) The Ukrainians serve their food in such a way to make it10ok beautiful and tasty. They serve it individually.
3) It is a tradition to eat rich healthy food in all Ukrainian families. At different holidays all the members of the family get together and sit at a big table served with many delicious dishes. There are usually different salads and appetisers, after them comes the main course of meat or fish with potatoes. And the dessert is usual at the end of the dinner.
4) In my family we always get together for holidays and Sundays. My mother cooks a very tasty dinner and we eat it and talk about our life.
