the receptionist:
“How can I help you?”
“Which play would you like to see?”
“How many seats would you like?”
“How would you like to pay?”
the customer:
“I’d like to book some theatre tickets, please”
“Can I pay by credit card?”
“The ones near the centre, I think”.
They’re talking about booking tickets for the theatre.

В: “Romeo and Juliet” on Friday the 27th.
A: OK. How many seats would you like?
B: Two seats, please.
A: Fine … There are seats available in the third row, near the front, which cost ?35 each, and some near the centre… ?30 each. Which would you like?
B: Mmmm… The ones near the front, I think.
A: So, two seats in row 3… Friday the 27th. That comes to a total of ? 70. How would you like to pay?
B: Cash.
A: That’s ?70 and you’ll have to pay at the theatre before collecting your tickets. The performance starts at 8 pm. Enjoy the show.
B: That’s great. Thank you very much.
